In 2023 Edge turns 20 years old! We are running the 20 Years of Edge Radio fundraiser for 2 weeks from the 3rd of November till the 18th of November OR until we reach our goal of raising $20,000! This is the largest fundraising goal we have set for the station in recent years, our station does a lot for the community but we still very much operate on a year to year basis financially. Fundraisers like this are essential to not only shed a light on the work that we do but also keep our station going. 

Your donations will go towards: 

1.New high quality content: We'll help you make programming for the community, by the community, covering the issues you care about. We're creating more Tassie centric content and filling the gaps making content you wouldn't hear anywhere else!  
2.Increased training opportunities in 2024: better options to learn about broadcasting and podcasting - create content your way!
3.More volunteer opportunities: our volunteers often learn about everything from media to business to boards to production to content and broadcast creation. This gives them a leg up when it comes to careers. 
4.Supporting Tassie music: we'll generate more opportunities for musicians through concerts, on air opportunities, and other promotion.

As a community not for profit charity Edge relies on the generosity of our community to be able to provide opportunities for young people. It’s not just a radio station. Here people train for their careers in everything from the obvious to careers in business. Even our accounting interns have gone on to get great jobs. We’re also a safe space for young people to be themselves and create. With over 50% Australian and nearly 30% Tasmanian music played on Edge each week we are also a vital resource for musicians who often get their first air time on Edge!
