The French Australian Preschool has been an integral part of Canberra's multilingual community for nearly 50 years, but now our future is in jeopardy.

The buildings we occupy are no longer compliant with Australian standards in early childhood education and are in urgent need of renovation. As a not-for-profit organization we do not have sufficient funds to do this work alone.

We urgently need to raise $1.6 million to commence Stage 2 of the building project. As we are not eligible for any funds from government in the ACT or federally, we need the support of the community to survive.

Every donation will get us closer to renovating our buildings and securing our future.

The costs of the project range from $10,000 for new window coverings, to $50,000 for carpets and flooring, and $170,000 for new joinery.

The French-Australian Preschool is a not-for-profit child care center offering progressive immersion in French language and culture, with a unique program that covers both the French and Australian curriculum, in the context of an Australian licensed and accredited Long Day Care Centre.

Over 3,000 families have benefited over the nearly 50 years that the French Australian Preschool has been operating. With the help of our community we hope to welcome thousands more families in the years ahead.
