Our rice loan scheme in Sierra Leone has been an enormous success over the past 5 years. We provide villagers in remote communities seeds each year to ensure that they can grow crops each season. It's a win-win, with some of the rice being donated back to feed our children whilst ensuring food sustainability in the communities we help and support.
Just $35 pays for a rice loan for one person, and helps alleviate some of the pressure of feeding their families.
We are looking to increase this program by reaching out to another 100 beneficiaries.
