About this cause

The Breaking Point Challenge for the Cure is a powerful test of resilience, determination and purpose. It brings together a group of extraordinary individuals and pushes them to their absolute physical and mental limits, all in support of raising critical funds for research and clinical trials dedicated to finding a CURE for childhood brain cancer.

Led and supervised by an elite team of experienced ex-military professionals, 30 carefully selected Challengers will undertake a demanding 30-hour endurance event across two intense days in October. Throughout the challenge they will face a relentless series of physical and psychological activities designed to test their strength, teamwork, problem-solving and mental resilience under pressure.

The challenge mirrors the determination required in the fight against childhood brain cancer, a battle faced by courageous young patients and their families every day.

In the 5 months leading up to the Challenge Weekend, each Challenger commits to raising funds and awareness for The Cure Starts Now Australia. They will do this through donations, sponsorship and events. Every dollar raised will go towards funding groundbreaking research and clinical trials to help find a CURE for childhood brain cancer.

During this time, Challengers will train together, push themselves beyond their comfort zones and support one another through a demanding preparation program. Through shared adversity they will build deep trust, resilience and lifelong friendships, united by a common mission to help change the future for children diagnosed with brain cancer.

The Breaking Point Challenge is more than an endurance event. It is a powerful demonstration of what can be achieved when individuals come together with courage, determination and a commitment to making a meaningful difference.
