300 Blankets is a charity providing support to people experiencing homelessness. In 2021, more than 30,000 people in Victoria were experiencing homelessness. Often these communities are disenfranchised and socially isolated, and need a wide range of support. People can experience homelessness due to a number of complex factors, such as financial hardship, experiencing family breakdown or domestic violence, or ill health.
300 Blankets is a 100% volunteer organisation that is committed to treating people experiencing homelessness with dignity and compassion, while also looking to apply early-stage intervention for people on the path to homelessness through our consistent programs:
Established in 2012, we have been making strides towards supporting existing homeless services, assisting people who are homeless for the first time to reach appropriate services, and creating positive relationships with people who are entrenched in homelessness so they can find the strength to improve their livelihood.
Not able to financially contribute? Volunteers are always welcome. Visit our Volunteer page to learn how you can be part of the team today.
