3MDR Community Radio is dedicated to Community Engaged Broadcasting and to vigorously supporting local music, arts, cultures and the environment.

Something for Everyone!

Our presenters are passionate about broadcasting and are actively involved in the community. There is a program for all tastes and interests.  3MDR broadcasts 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Our programming includes music, live performances, news and lifestyle, talk-back and local community arts and culture.  We have specialist music programs that play everything from blues, country, folk and indie to classical and jazz, and we pride ourselves on playing heaps of Australian music content and supporting independent artists.  3MDR proudly hosts a wide variety of community language programs in Greek, Romanian, Sri Lankan, Tamil, Hindi, Croatian, and Samoan.

3MDR’s shows are available live on the FM dial [97.1fm], via live streaming and onDemand and we are also now on the Community Radio Plus app. You can listen live or catch up later to more than 60 volunteer created programs each and every week of the year. 3MDR provides an alternative to commercial and national stations, giving a platform to music and issues of social justice; and many people, causes and opinions that may otherwise not be heard.

3MDR is a not-for-profit community radio station that runs on the hard work, passion and dedication of our staff, over 100 volunteers, and the generosity of the subscribers, donors and sponsors who fund the station… That’s you!

What impact your donation can make:

$50 pays for one single episode of your favourite show to go to air, supporting your programming passions
$100 will go towards ensuring we have the equipment we need to bring you LIVE local music from Forest Park Homestead to your ears
$200 provides one month’s internet access so you can listen online to shows and catch up onDemand
