The Australian Geographic Society is a not-for-profit registered charity which supports Australian individuals and organisations who lead the way in nature conservation, scientific research, public education aimed at positive environmental outcomes, and the advancement of human knowledge through exploration.

It’s our vision to foster a community of well-informed passionate Australians who are committed to finding solutions to the multiple threats facing our natural world.

We achieve our mission through grant giving and public fundraising. Among our programs is the Australian Geographic Awards for Nature that launched in 2024. Through this program of competitive funding we aim to empower grass roots conservationists working to repair nature. In 2024 we have donated $100,000 to three such conservation efforts and hope to expand the program in 2025. We can only achieve this with your generous help.
