The Dementia Australia Research Foundation is a national charity that supports innovative research into dementia. We are the new voice of the Alzheimer's Australia Dementia Research Foundation.

How will the funds be used?

The Foundation administers an annual Dementia Grants Program, which supports talented Australian dementia researchers through project grants, scholarships and fellowships. 

Key Areas of Expenditure

We fund researchers across all stages of their career but maintain a particular focus on supporting Australia’s talented new and early career dementia researchers. We believe science holds the key to ending dementia, so our annual Dementia Grants Program provides funding to support research into:

• Better understanding the causes of dementia
• Developing strategies to reduce dementia risk and slow the progression of the disease
• Providing accurate and timely diagnoses
• Improving treatment and care options for people living with dementia
• Finding a cure
