Many refugees who come to Australia have fled their countries because of extreme violence, war or persecution. For some, it is only after resettling that they learn members of their family are still alive and remain in those very dangerous situations. For a refugee trying to begin their new life knowing that their loved ones' lives are at risk in their homeland is a heartbreaking and in some cases impossible task.

Fortunately for more than 30 years ARA has been there to help. By providing free advice and assistance for refugees who propose to bring their families to Australia under the special Humanitarian program, we have helped bring many families back together.

But there is still so much more to be done.

ARA believes this service is crucial in aiding the successful settlement of the refugees it serves however it needs financial support from the community to ensure its continuation.
