This year, Y Ballarat celebrates 10 years of Bags of Joy! In 2014 a young person named Jessy walked into Y Ballarat with an idea to provide presents to local young people who might otherwise go without at Christmas time. Since then, Y Ballarat has run Bags of Joy annually, growing and strengthening the program each year. 

In 2023, Bags of Joy provided 210 gifts to young people at Christmas time, funded purely by donations from individuals, organisations and businesses. In celebration of its tenth year, in 2024 we aim to raise the funds to provide 220 Bags of Joy!

All donations over $2 are tax deductible. And just $30 will brighten a young person's Christmas this year.
