Since 2003 we have:

Promoted early education through the Balibo Five kindergarten and partnered with Rotary and Spend it Well to build four new schools. 

Employed a teacher mentor to work with principals and teachers to improve their skills.

Developed skills at the Community Learning Centre including English classes;

Created employment and training opportunities at the Balibo Fort Hotel;

Improved the oral health of the community through treatment at the Balibo Dental clinic and outreach programs for prevention and education;

Enhanced tourism activities through the development of walking trails and mountain bike trails providing more training and employment opportunities.

Developed a Veterans' Museum at the Fort as yet another reason to visit Balibo.
