Bicycles For Humanity International (B4H) is a world wide, grass roots, volunteer run organisation focused on simple, sustainable empowerment in the developing world. We do this in the most transparent and practical way - by sending used donated bikes from Western Australian cities to our partner organisations in several African countries in need, and to remote indigenous communities in Australia.

In African rural communities a bike allows someone to travel twice as far, twice as fast and carry four times the load. In the countries in which we work a bike can mean access to education, health care, fresh water, economic opportunity and community.  Breaking the cycle of poverty by providing sustainable transport for one person, impacts not only their life, but also the lives of their families, communities and future generations.

In outback Australia bikes are donated to schools, often in partnership with Police, PCYCs and local government to contribute to health and sporting programs that impact on reduction of antisocial behaviour driven by boredom.

We seek donations of second hand bikes in Perth, and cash to purchase shipping containers and to pay shipping charges between Fremantle and Africa, and for overland transport in Australia.
