The Hike for Homeless is an event aimed at raising awareness of homelessness and the issues surrounding homelessness. The event will take place in 2014 from the 3rd of August through to the 10th of August. It will start in Moree NSW and travel 690km through Narrabri, Gunnedah, Tamworth, Armidale, Glen Innes and Inverell before finishing back at Moree.

All proceeds earned for this event will be put back into the participating communities for prevention and early intervention programs tailored by locals for the specific issues of homelessness prevalent in those areas.

Homelessness is a whole of community issue and is not just about not having a roof over head. Everyone can make a difference, everyone can "Open a door" of opportunity for someone else.
