Did you know:

Over 80% of all kinship care arrangements are made ‘informally’, that is, without child protection involvement.
These families receive no financial or casework support. Many are plunged into poverty by their generous act of caring.
Most carers are women who often give up work or study to attend to the needs of their traumatised young relatives.

Kinship Alliance Australia is here for ALL kinship care families:

Headed by grandparents, other relatives and family friends
With both informal and formal care arrangements
Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander and non-Indigenous
In all States and Territories.

Currently, all our work is done voluntarily. We receive no government funding.

We need to pay for:

Development of web-based resources for kinship families
Outreach to isolated kinship families across Australia
Awareness-raising events.
