There are many young people in Australia who want to learn but who are so significantly disadvantaged that their option to learn is substantially taken away from them. We want to help those young people for whom other assistance is unavailable.

The Colman Foundation's funds are invested by independent trustees and the income is then used as follows:

• The majority of the income is spent each year in helping in the education of underprivileged kids
• The balance is added to the funds of the foundation so that it might be able to meet the needs of underprivileged kids in future generations.

Key Areas of Expenditure

The major focus of the Foundation is its contribution to the building and operations of Doveton College - a Victorian State Government school and early childhood centre. The foundation operates on a shoe-string and money raised by gift or bequest will go directly towards helping in the education of young people.
