The LGBTQI+ community has always been the cornerstone of the theatrical community. Long before acceptance was mainstream - queer artists, composers, choreographers, directors, designers, and performers were shaping the very heartbeat of Broadway and theatre around the world. In many ways, musical theatre is both a refuge and a revolution: a place where identity can be expressed through storytelling, music, glamour, wit, and emotional truth, even when society demands silence elsewhere.
