As part of the 16 Days of Activism we are hosting a Bake Off to raise funds, raise awareness and prompt discussion around gender based violence in Victoria. 

Funds raised from this event will go to Djirra, who provide Victoria wide services and supports to Aboriginal people who have experienced, or are at risk of, family violence, and who are vital advocates for the rights of First Nations women.

In Victoria, Aboriginal women are 45 times more likely to experience family violence than a non-Aboriginal woman. In the past 12 months alone, Djirra has experienced a 33% increase in demand for their services. It is expected this number will continue to rise as we face the ongoing epidemic of gender-based violence in Australia.
