Crashendo! is a free, after-school music education program for children aged 7-16 who experience disadvantage due to low income, unemployment and/or refugee status conducted at Laverton P-12 College in Melbourne's west.
Under the guidance of highly skilled teaching artists students develop technical proficiency in string and woodwind instruments, confidence, a strong sense of belonging and pride in achievement. For most students, Crashendo! is their only opportunity to learn a musical instrument and play in an ensemble. Music is a vital aspect of a child’s learning as it provides opportunities for students to pursue excellence and explore creativity, identity and self-expression.
Crashendo! needs your help to continue to enrich the lives of these enthusiastic young musicians.
