Dandenong Ranges Emergency Relief Service is a local community group of volunteers providing a listening ear, support, referrals and emergency relief to those facing crisis in our local area. We are a Christian based organisation, providing without judgement or discrimination assistance to those in need. Our volunteers come from all walks of life and together help support and strengthen our community. We are very pleased to have those who have sought help in a crisis return to help others.
Our volunteers listen to the needs of those seeking assistance, and help to find the best way forward. This may be assisting with housing, making referrals, paying for prescriptions, bills, school, shoes, clothes, food or transport, or finding the leaky pipe that is sending the bills soaring. We are very proud of our Extra Care Program where people receive help to review their financial situation and plan for the future.
