We believe our Ice Education Workshops, delivered by people who have recovered from Ice addiction, save young lives by reducing first time use of this insidiously addictive and destructive drug.
Our validity and effectiveness of our Education Workshops has been publicly criticised by a major non-government drug agency due to the fact that we employ presenters with lived experience in Ice addiction.
We have been forced to take legal action to challenge this criticism, which is totally at odds with every testimony we have ever received from teachers, students and youth justice educators who have attended one of our workshops.
We have fought this case to date without legal assistance, however we are now at a critical stage and are desperate for some specialist legal advice to enable us to move forward with certainty.
AAIC has been blessed to have received an offer from a very experienced barrister to act for us on a direct brief, at a reduced hourly rate. We now need to raise funds to meet the barristers fees and other legal costs over the coming months.
As stated above, we believe our Ice Education Workshops save young lives by reducing first time Ice use and we greatly appreciate any support you can give us to fight for the right to continue to deliver this program to Australian teenagers.
