Disaster Relief Australia unites the skills and experiences of military veterans with emergency first responders to rapidly deploy emergency response teams to communities that are affected by natural disasters, and other extreme events across the country, and has the capability to provide incident management, damage and impact assessment, disaster mapping with UAVs, work-order management, debris management, hazard mitigation, and medical response.

Disaster Relief Australia has deployed emergency response teams to over 20 disasters in Australia since 2017, including COVID assistance, Cyclone and Bushfire recovery and Drought Relief efforts. We are registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-Profits Commission as a Public Benevolent Institution (PBI) and are endorsed as a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR), by the Australian Taxation Office. All donations above $2 are tax deductible. 

The populations we serve are Australian communities that have been affected by natural disaster, and Australia’s veteran population. Our point of difference from other volunteer-based disaster relief organisations is that we operate in the recovery phase; after the immediate response phase was complete and other government agencies had withdrawn, DRA will deploy to support the community in rebuilding their lives. This level of community-based support is not addressed by other disaster response organisations and represents the unique nature of DRA’s commitment to service, community and social welfare. DRA, through its core function, is able to provide a disaster affected community with a lasting tool for rebuilding, resilience and social cohesion.
