Help us keep good food on the menu
The Australian Red Cross Night Café in Brisbane's CBD isn't just a café; it's a haven. It provides young people facing homelessness with hot meals, fresh clothes, mental health support and community.
We know that good food is crucial to the health and wellbeing of people experiencing homelessness. When young people at the Night Café are well fed, they are better equipped to seek support and make decisions regarding their future. It also helps us to build an environment of trust and comfort. We like to say, a good meal is the first step.
Your generousity will change lives
Each healthy and delicious meal at the Night Café is fully donor funded and costs $9. We serve around 60 meals each week. But we can't continue to feed young people experiencing homelessness without kind people like you.
By covering the cost of some of these meals, you can help us keep good food on the menu at the Night Café.
A kitchen full of kindness
The nourishing meals served at the Night Café are made by the team at Marhaba Café, an initiative from our award-winning social enterprise, Nundah Community Enterprises Cooperative (NCEC/Nundah Co-op).
Nundah Co-op is staffed by people facing barriers to employment, including refugees and people with disabilities. NCEC provides over 19,000 hours of work yearly for 51 people who have been formerly long-term unemployed.
