WHO WE ARE:

The Edge Youth and Community Services Ltd is a not-for-profit community organisation that provides programs and assistance for disadvantaged and 'at-risk' youth and their families, in and around Logan City in Queensland. The purpose of The Edge Youth and Community Services is to: 

• provide direct intervention programs and activities for local students who are at 'at risk' of isolation, anxiety and loneliness or being exposed to, or involved in negative and/or antisocial behaviour, due to lack of supervision; 
• work with local schools to provide early intervention mentoring programs for students who are identified as being disadvantaged or 'at-risk' or having the potential to become 'at-risk' in the future; 
• educate and resource parents and families with knowledge and skills that assist them in protecting their children from exposure to and involvement in behavioural patterns that typify 'at-risk' behaviour; 
• bring together concerned individuals from within the local community who are seeking to make a difference through volunteerism. 

WHAT WE DO: 

We do this through providing a number of services including one-on-one mentoring for at-risk youth in local primary schools and transition to high school programs. 

WHY WE NEED HELP: 

• More and more people come to us for help, but sadly, we are unable to help everyone who asks, 
• We want to do more 
• We rely on the generosity of financial donors to continue and grow our programs.
