As an emerging writer, three of the most valuable things to aid in the development and creation of work are space, time and money. 

In 2018, the Emerging Writers’ Festival is thrilled to partner with the State Library of Victoria to present the inaugural Emerging Writers’ Residency.

This residency will see an emerging writer from regional Victoria or interstate spend a month working in a dedicated space in the State Library, immersing themselves in the library’s collection and learning, developing and networking at the Emerging Writers’ Festival. 

To make this exciting project happen, we need your help. 

So far we’ve already secured a very generous donation to house the fellow for their stay, but now we need to raise $3000 to fund the project. This will cover flights to and from Melbourne as well as a stipend for the writer's time during the residency.
