We believe planting trees is one of the best things we can do for people, animals and the planet. We are focusing on landscape-scale revegetation projects to provide habitat for endangered wildlife, while improving biodiversity and combating climate change.
Since 1983, we have been planting and maintaining habitat corridors across the New England Tableland region of NSW, increasing and improving connectivity. Historic clearing and Eucalypt "dieback" left much of this area a fractured and barren landscape, but every tree planted contributes to restoring the verdant cloth of our land. Replanting koala food trees is a major aspect of our project; koalas have officially been declared an endangered species, so now more than ever, we believe we must give our iconic, furry friends a helping hand.
Our planted woodlands also play a role in mitigating climate change. Trees are almost 50% carbon, taken directly from the atmosphere as carbon dioxide in exchange for oxygen. Planting trees can help reduce greenhouse gas levels by storing carbon in wood, litter and soil.
With your help, we can do our part to restore the "noble forests" of the region that were once so admired by explorers.
