Experimenta has a global reputation for high-quality curated programming. We commission new work from some of the world’s most adventurous contemporary artists working at the periphery of convention: the intersection of art-technology, and society.

Touring program
Our exhibition touring program has been running since 2003, and has been the launching pad for many high-profile Australian contemporary artists. Now Australia’s only touring Triennial, it has been experienced by more than 1.2 million people in over 40 communities.

• Support artists to research, develop, execute and present new artworks that have yet to be experienced or seen before
• Present engagement programs and events in communities all over Australia, offering our audiences a broad range of opportunities to take part in experiences centred on the future of contemporary art, technology and society.  
• Develop new and exciting learning programs including kids workshops, resources like Study Guides that emphasise STEAM education, and audio tours.
