Conquer Cystic Fibrosis (CCF) is a completely volunteer based, not for profit organisation, that relies on the generosity of our family, friends and generous individuals and corporate sponsors to achieve our fundraising goals.
Since our first Grand Ball in 2002, CCF has raised more than $3.5M (profit).
All the money we raise is donated to research and services. Our primary beneficiaries have been the Australian Cystic Fibrosis Research Trust (ACFRT), Institute for Respiratory Health, Telethon Kids Institute and Cystic Fibrosis WA.
People living with CF around the world have significantly benefited from the research we've helped to fund. During the past 10 years, Australian CF researchers have led more than 55 research projects and CCF has donated over $3.5M to these projects. CCF's contribution to funding this vital Australian research has made possible such treatments as hypertonic saline. This is now a treatment for CF used around the world, and was the direct result of the work completed by Australian researchers that was funded by the ACFRT.
CCF partners with the Institute of Respiratory Health through the Conquer Cystic Fibrosis Research Program. CCF has committed in funding to fund three post graduate PhD Scholarships. These scholarships will foster careers in Cystic Fibrosis research and improve the life of everyone living with CF.
The Scholarships are:
Everyone at CCF is thrilled that the money we have raised is being used to contribute to these very important research projects right here in Western Australia! The efforts of all the volunteers at CCF make these advances in research and treatment for all people with CF possible.
Unfortunately there is still no cure for Cystic Fibrosis but with your ongoing support this is something that we hope to change.
