For over 45 years Fine Music Sydney (formerly 2MBS-FM) has been broadcasting classical music, jazz and other specialist genres to Greater Sydney and beyond.

What perhaps is not generally known is that we are a volunteer-run station with no government funding. We rely entirely on the goodwill and generosity of our listeners and sponsors to stay on air. We are now facing the biggest challenge of our life, relocating our transmitter from its present location atop Governor Philip Tower in the CBD to a broadcast mast in Artarmon on the other side of the bridge. The cost of this intricate, and highly complex move is in the order of $265,000, which is why we have launched our Transmitter Appeal.
