Fishing is one of the most popular recreational activities in Australia. While so may fishers take for granted the opportunity of heading to the water and casting a line, some people in our communities find this a bit more challenging. The FishAbility program seeks to increase the active involvement of people with disabilities into recreational fishing through coordinated and regular fishing events. Our program partners with government, agencies, local councils and organisations to develop strategic cooperative arrangements. The program advocates and promotes inclusive participation in recreational fishing. FishAbility is currently funded until 2021 and we need donations and sponsorship arrangements to be able to continue the program into the future and continue to provide these valuable experiences for people across Victoria that live a disability.
