Support us, support threatened species.
For more than 30 years, the Friends of the Helmeted Honeyeater (a not-for-profit volunteer-led community group) has worked tirelessly to save the Helmeted Honeyeater (Victoria's Critically Endangered Bird Emblem) and its endangered ecosystems, from extinction. For decades, wild Helmeted Honeyeaters numbered fewer than 100, ultimately restricted to one last place on Earth. Through our efforts and those of our partners, there are now more than 200 birds in the wild!
Yet, there is much work to be done to secure the future of this precious species.
Your donation will go directly into our programs that have demonstrated impacts: education, community and private landholder engagement, volunteerism, plant propagation, habitat restoration, advocacy, and meaningful collaborations.
The Friends of the Helmeted Honeyeater work with volunteers, government, agencies, schools, private landholders, Zoos Victoria, environment and community groups, and others to bring about a brighter future for the Helmeted Honeyeater and the ecosystems in which it lives.
Supporting us goes directly to supporting threatened species!
