After a weekend of spending on Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Giving Tuesday is a chance to give back to those who need it most—and we need your help.

This Giving Tuesday, Beagle Freedom Australia is welcoming 10 new dogs and one cat into our care. These beautiful ex-research souls are taking their first steps into the world, and we’re committed to giving them the lives and best medical care that they deserve. But with a vet bill currently sitting at $18,000 and the Christmas closure looming, we’re facing a major hurdle.

We already have many cats and dogs in care, each relying on us for food, shelter, and vital medical treatment. On average, we spend $15,000–$18,000 every month on vet bills alone. These costs are the reality of rescuing animals with complex needs—but they’re also the reason we can keep saying “yes” to the next life in need. This year, donations have been significantly lower, leaving us stretched thin as we try to meet the growing needs of the animals we care for.

Despite the fact that many of the animals in our care come from government-run or supported research facilities, there is no funding from the government—or anywhere else—to help with their medical bills. These costs fall entirely on us and the generosity of our supporters.
