Our Purpose – Is for all young people in Glebe to reach their full potential.

We believe that young people, at their full potential, are central to a thriving Glebe community. Young people make up a significant portion of our community. They contribute to Glebe today and they are the future of Glebe.  Our work is to support them to be the best they can be!

We have a proud history of working with young people in Glebe. We have a particularly strength in engaging Aboriginal young people and other marginalised groups that do not regularly or easily access services. 

In order to achieve our purpose we need to see young people who are; 

* Healthy safe, skilled and confident

* Connected to community

* Taking up livelihood opportunities

Why does GYS need your donation?

As a friend and supporter of GYS, we need your support this year more than ever. 

This year, demand for our services has soared. In 2023, we served over 6,000 meals to young people at our award-winning After Dark (https://glebeyouth.org.au/home/what-we-do/after-dark/) program, and saw a record 6,800 attendances.

We helped 50 Year 10 students to learn job skills through our barista and food program, supported more than 200 students in primary and high school to improve their educational outcomes and build social skills, and we provided intensive casework and referrals to around 150 at-risk young people and their families. 

With your help, we can stretch our services further and support more young people in our community to overcome challenges and to thrive.

* provide fresh food boxes to local families through our food circle program (https://glebeyouth.org.au/home/what-we-do/food-circle/), 

* support a young person as they transition from primary school to high school, 

* maintain and grow our targeted life skills and social support programs Boyzone & Girlzone https://glebeyouth.org.au/home/what-we-do/boyzone/ & https://glebeyouth.org.au/home/what-we-do/girlzone/
