The Hobart Tram Restoration and Museum Society Inc (H-TRAMS) are seeking urgent help to raise sufficient funds to procure and transport the body of former Hobart tram #106 for future preservation. The tram was built in 1934 and is one of the earliest examples of its type (and the oldest surviving of its type too). We have a target of raising around $3000, but any donation no matter how small will be appreciated.
Although the driver's cabins are missing the remaining passenger compartment is actually in rather decent condition as the tram has been protected for many years having been enclosed in a shed (which is about to be demolished).

How The Funds Will Be Used
The funds will be used to procure tram 106 from its current owner and transport it to a new location for short term storage, with the end goal being that the tram will be housed in our planned tram museum and restored.
The Challenges
We need to raise the necessary funds (up to $3000) within the next month, ideally by the end of February! Any donation no matter how small will be appreciated.
