Australain families in rural areas are increasingly subject to severe bushfire seasons.  Over the last few years, many families have lost everything.  Government support is often mired in bureaucracy and slow to arrive. In many cases bushfire victims live in difficult circumstances for years after news footage of the fires has gone from our television screens.

Through our connections in  rural Australia, Dharma Care can move quickly to ensure bushfire affected families get access to immdeiate necessitites such as food, clothing, and household goods. We do this through supplying vouchers from major retailers or local businesses.  We work with local community groups such as neighbourhood centres to identify those families most in need.

Our aim is to raise as much as possible each year (at least $30,000 pa) in preparation for these annual fire events so we can respond quickly.
