Why are we raising funds?

We aim to be the largest network of friends of Ireland in Australia, and to mobilise this network to contribute to worthy causes in Ireland & Australia.  We support projects that advance and promote education, peace & reconciliation, community development and arts & culture.  We are part of the global philanthropic network that is the Worldwide Ireland Funds.

What we do

The Ireland Funds Australia contributes to worthy causes in Ireland & Australia.  We support projects that advance and promote education, peace & reconciliation, community development and arts & culture.

• Education - integrated education in Northern Ireland and scholarships to top schools for indigenous Australians
• Community Development - projects which tackle social deprivation in the North and South of Ireland
• Peace & Reconciliation - accross community projects bringing Catholic and Protestant schools and Children together in Northern Ireland

How you can help

• Become a Platinum Governor or Governor of the Fund
  The Governor’s programme was launched in 1997 to support major initiatives and flagship projects of the Fund. Supporters are invited to make a tax deductible donation of $25,000 for a Platinum Governor and $15,000 for a Governor of the Fund.
• Become an Associate of the Fund
  The Associate programme was launched in 2016 to support flagship projects of the Fund. Supporters are invited to make a tax deductible donation of $5,000.
• Become a Women In Leadership & Philanthropy 100 Club Member
  Donate $100 per month ($1200 annually) to support promising young women with the No Mind Left Behind scholarship program.
• Become a Benefactor of the Fund
  The Benefactor programme is at a more affordable level. Supporters are invited to become Benefactors of the Fund, upon payment of a tax deductible donation of $1,000.
• Become a Young Leader
  The Young Leaders’ Network attracts the next generation of leaders and emerging philanthropists, while financially supporting the work of The Worldwide Ireland Funds with membership of $200 annually, of which $150 is tax-deductible.
• Donor Advised Grants
  Donor Advised Grants enable donors to recommend projects they are passionate about and that they wish to support.
• Become a Partner Sponsor
  Your company can become a Partner Sponsor of The Ireland Funds Australia by contributing a nominated amount for a 3-year period.
• Event Sponsor
  We are very lucky to have many companies donate items to us for our Live and Silent Auctions at our 3 major fundraisers in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane throughout the year. We'd love to hear from you if you can help.
