Loch Nyora Landcare Group
Since our inception in 1996, the Loch Nyora Landcare group has been at the forefront of environmental stewardship in the Loch Nyora area of South Gippsland. With a focus on community involvement and the preservation of our natural surroundings, we strive to make a meaningful impact through various conservation projects and initiatives.
Loch Nyora Landcare Group was founded in May 1996 and is a member group of the South Gippsland Landcare Network taking in the towns of Loch and Nyora and the surrounding farming land.
In 2021 we celebrated our 25th Anniversary with a luncheon at the Jeetho Hall.
Our group undertakes a variety of projects and promotes weed control, recycling, healthy soils, revegetation, and tree planting to ensure the long-term sustainability of the region’s natural resources and agricultural activities.
The group holds regular meetings and activities and has a strong connection to the local community working with the schools, kindergarten and the reserves.
Tree planters and spray-backpacks are available for local use.

We are proud to acknowledge and support participation of Traditional Owners of the land on which we live and work, specifically the clans of Gunaikurnai and Bunurong. We honour and respect their ongoing cultural and spiritual connection to this country and pay our respects to Elders of the past, present and future.
