What Do We Do?
We firmly believe that professional legal services should be available to ALL members of our community, regardless of social, cultural or economic background.
We offer a range of free services, both legal and non-legal including:
- Free legal advice, referrals and assistance
- South West Sydney Tenant Advice and Advocacy Service (“SWSTAAS”)
- Macarthur Women’s Domestic Violence Court Advocacy Service (“MWDVCAS”)
- Children’s Court Assistance Scheme (“CCAS””)
- Aboriginal Legal Assistance Program (“ALAP”)
- Community Legal Education (“CLE”)
- Law Reform and Community Support
Our legal casework and assistance is targeted at the following:
- People experiencing domestic violence;
- People with a disability;
- People with a terminal illness; and,
- People experiencing disadvantage including financial disadvantage.
How can you assist?
We currently have a total of 13 legal outreach locations throughout Macarthur, Wollondilly, Camden and Goulburn including a Health Justice Partnership at Campbelltown Hospital and a Health Justice Partnership at Tharawal Aboriginal Medical Services, Airds.
Your donation would assist us to continue running the above outreaches and Health Justice Partnerships and, in turn, help us to assist more people in need such as:
- People experiencing domestic violence;
- People who are terminally ill and require an urgent Will drafted;
- People who are unwell that require a Power of Attorney and/or Enduring Guardianship drafted;
- Seniors experiencing elder abuse;
- People with Care and Protection matters;
- People with Family Law or Child Support issues;
- People who have debts and cannot afford to pay them;
- People who have Employment Law issues;
- People who have experienced discrimination;
- Youth experiencing legal issues;
- People that are homeless and have a range of legal issues;
- People with various Civil Law issues.
Your donation makes a real difference and goes directly to funding our legal outreaches, community legal education program and frontline services at Macarthur Legal Centre.
Here are some examples of how your donation can make a difference assisting people such as those mentioned above:

For only $25 per month, you can assist MLC to provide free legal advice and referrals to one more person in need.

For only $50 per month, you can assist MLC to provide free legal advice and ongoing casework assistance to one more person in need.

Your donation of $100 will assist MLC to provide free legal advice and assistance to one more person in need at our new legal outreach in Goulburn.
$200
Your donation of $200 will assist MLC to prepare and present a Community Legal Education Session on a range of different legal topics, thereby educating community members, workers and groups on their legal rights.
$300
Your generous donation of $300 will assist MLC to provide free legal advice, ongoing case work, legal assistance/representation in a Care and Protection Mediation session or Family Law Mediation Session.
$500
Your generous donation of $500, will enable MLC to answer more calls to our Advice Session lines and in turn, provide free legal advice and assistance to more people in need.

Macarthur Legal Centre is registered as a charity organisation with a 30-year history of assisting the Macarthur region of NSW.
