A home for patients and their support network to stay when receiving medical care in Dubbo. It may be for just a night, however for many it can be for many weeks on end.

We are excited to start the construction of our next stage - 26 units to support the patients attending the Western Cancer Centre. Theres a mixture of single rooms, room for 2 and even some family rooms. The WCC opened in 2022, providing life saving cancer treatment closer to home for many patients.

Macquarie Home Stay Dubbo opened stage 1 in Janaury 2019 with 17 motel style rooms. Patients travel to Dubbo for a wide array of medical needs - to deliver a baby, surgeries, accident and emergency, cardiovsacular, paediatric, orthopaedic, ENT, diabetes, dialysis, gynocology and urology, specialist appointments, tests and scans, rehabilitation and so much more. For many, accommodation is needed for only a night. However think about our mums awaiting the delivery of a baby where they can be away from home for many weeks pre delivery and for her partner or escort then staying through while she is in hospital, many of our radiotherapy patients treatment covers 4-6 weeks in duration while dialysis patients have been with use for up to 6 months of treatment. We facilitate patients access to the NSW Government IPTAAS scheme, enabling the cost of being away from home more managable so the priority is the medical care and reducing the costs when away from home.
