The Bread & Butter Project is Australia’s first social enterprise bakery. 100% of our profits are invested into providing training and employment pathways for refugees and asylum seekers.

By making a donation, you will help a refugee or asylum seeker to enhance his/her prospects for sustainable employment, successful resettlement and a sense of belonging in Australia.

How will we use your money?

Your financial support will help to cover the $50,000 cost of each traineeship.  This includes:

·      6-month training and supervision by experienced bakers

·      Full-time pay including super, OHS, insurance and uniforms

·      On-site TAFE Certification – Food Processing 2

·      One-on-one ESL tutoring

·      Social support and counselling services

·      Work experience at local bakeries and cafes

·      Employment placement at end of program

100% of our graduates have gained sustainable employment.
