For the last 40 years, Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras has provided a creative platform for the community to celebrate its achievements, protest and bring global attention to LGBQTI human rights. Our community is always changing but our purpose remains the same.

Your support means that more LGBTQI communities can connect through Mardi Gras, and have a voice to celebrate with pride and hope. You can change the lives of LGBTQI people who face barriers for simply being themselves.

MARDI GRAS GRANTS PROGRAM

The SGLMG grants programs exist to remove barriers to LGBTQI community members to participate in the Mardi Gras Parade and supports other LGBQTI non-profit organisations, established charities, local community groups, and individuals working to improve the lives of LBTQI people.

Mardi Gras Grants programs include: 

  • Parade participant grants
  • Travel grants for remote communities
  • Grants for community organisations for LGBTQI arts, sport and education
