The Marilyn Collins Memorial Award supports aspiring musicians who demonstrate enthusiasm for the unique ‘big band’ style of music, with a desire to entertain audiences through performance. Marilyn established the U‑Bouddi Big Band in 2006, and led it on saxophone until she passed away on 28th January 2023. She also contributed significantly to community band management and leadership in Sydney and the Central Coast. The award is supported by proceeds from performances of the U‑Bouddi Big Band.
