For eight years, Bridging Health Inc has worked alongside Ni-Vanuatu, treating sicknesses and wounds, listening to their dreams of better health care, their hope for access to more health services and training, and the equipment they need.
Relationships and trust has been developed over the years, and it has laid a solid foundation for our activities and projects on Tanna Island, and now in other areas of Vanuatu, including Ambrym, Pentecost, Santo and Epi. Within the health care facilities and communities we have the privilege of bringing treatments, supplies, resources and donations to assist them in seeing their dream of seeing a healthier tomorrow realised.
Each year, our volunteers deliver treatment, training, health and community education and workshops in remote areas of Vanuatu.
In 2020, we saw the borders to Vanuatu close indefinitely to protect their nation from COVID19 virus entering their communities. However, the borders couldn't stop the savage onslaught of category 5 Cyclone Harold that decimated many communities in the northern provinces of Vanuatu. Many people were left without food crops, livestock, homes, clean water supplies, clothing and income. For the first time, Bridging Health sent over disaster relief donations to support Pentecost, Ambrym and Santo projects.
Bridging Health Inc was gifted 3030 Days For Girls kits (students menstrual education and care kits) to distribute throughout Vanuatu, and at the end of June 2021, more than half of those have been distrbuted to Tanna, Santo and Port Vila communities.
Every year we ship 1-2 shipping containers of medical and health donations to assist remote communities and health facilities in providing greater medical and health services.
We appeal to the community for assitance in raising the funds needed for shipping, and thank you for taking the time to consider supporting a healthier tomorrow for Vanuatu.
