Every week Milk Crate Theatre creates opportunities for people with an experience of homelessness or social disadvantage to build confidence, skills and social connections: to make positive life changes.
Milk Crate has… enabled me to rebuild and find joy in my life.
Over the last four years, with your investment and support, Milk Crate Theatre has worked with over 600 people with a lived experience of homelessness. Of these, 80 per cent have reported positive changes and outcomes from our programs – especially around confidence and wellbeing.
Your support allows us to increase our impact, extend our reach and to make new creative projects with our communities.

In all that we do, we acknowledge that the foundations of Milk Crate Theatre are on Gadigal land of the Eora Nation and that wherever we create, we walk in the footprints of the ancestors that were here before us. We pay respects to the tradition of storytelling of the First Peoples, practiced by the earth’s longest living culture and pay homage to this. We embrace those stories of the past and continue to share stories of the now. We pay respect to Elders past, present and to walk side by side, hand in hand for a healing future. Sovereignty was never ceded, and we acknowledge those who have nurtured and respected the land for generations before us.
