NRCF has created a Resilience and Regeneration Fund to enable prompt and targeted responses to disasters while also focusing on building the community’s longer term resilience and disaster preparedness.
1) A specific grant program that has been selected by NRCF and the donor, such as the Back to School Program or SCU Bowen Scholarship Program.
2) NRCF's Annual Grant Program - Donations to Sub Funds or Campaigns are invested in social impact ethical investments. As the Foundation grows its capital base, only the income from the investments is used to fund community projects. In this way, a donor's gift continues to benefit the community year after year.
The Foundation gives the income earned on investments back to the community through an annual Grant Program. This program supports social, environmental and cultural projects in the NSW Northern Rivers region that seek to alleviate disadvantage in our region. Recently this program was extended to include projects that focus on disaster recovery and resilience.
The Foundation ensures that grant funding is distributed fairly and effectively by drawing upon needs base information from credible community and government organisations.
*Please note: If you have selected to donate to the NRCF Housing Fund, Northern Rivers Wildlife Hospital Infrastructure Fund, or the Resilience & Regeneration Fund, then your donation will support this specific project & associated grants program, and not be used for any other purpose.
