Youth Education at Northey Street City Farm
Northey Street City Farm is the perfect living classroom for students to interact with our natural environment while learning practical ways to participate in creating a sustainable future together. We offer a range of educational and interactive school group activities suitable for all age groups and school pedagogies. These activities provide students with an opportunity to learn about permaculture practices and to experience the life of an urban farm. The activities have been designed to work across curriculum and to fit a number of learning outcomes. In addition to the structured tours, Earth Kids holiday and homeschool programs, Earth Arts and informal playgroups happen at the Farm on a weekly basis.

About Northey Street City Farm
Founded in 1994, Northey Street City Farm has since created a vibrant green oasis in the heart of Brisbane. Our vision is a world of abundance, connection and harmony.
Our purpose is to be an inspirational working model of a community-based urban permaculture farm, which promotes and educates for an ecologically and socially sustainable society.
Our social enterprises cover our general operating costs, but we have many environmental improvement projects that rely on donations and external funding sources.
