Since its inception in 1969, Regional Arts Victoria (RAV) has grown from a collection of Victorian Arts Councils to a contemporary creative organisation made up of around 700 individual and organisation Members working in all creative genres.

Firmly embedded in the culture and communities of regional Victoria, RAV backs artists and communities to make, participate in, and experience creative life. RAV stands alone as an independent, not-for-profit, membership-based organisation, working in long-term partnerships with government at every level, to foster contemporary and innovative regional cultural practice and provide a seat at the table for creatives and the creative industries.
