Essential support from hospital to home.

Your donation will assist Redkite in providing essential support to children and young people with cancer and their families from hospital to home. These essential services include financial and education assistance, support in hospitals through social workers and music therapists, and community-based support including telephone and email counselling.

Redkite receives no government funding and relies entirely on the generosity of individuals, organisations and corporate partners to provide families with vital support.

How will the funds be used?

• $50 can help a family get their child to hospital by paying for petrol.
• $120 can ease a child, teenager or young adult's stress and pain during cancer treatment through Redkite Music Therapy.
• $200 can keep children and young people in hospital connected to family at home by covering phone costs.
• $500 can cover vital counselling support for a parent, teenager or young adult no matter where they are in Australia.
• $2500 is enough for Redkite to support a family with a range of essential services for a year.

Redkite's services

Redkite services are available to the whole family, right across Australia, including:

• Providing financial assistance for the essentials such as food, petrol and household bills
• Counselling support, information and resources while in hospital through Redkite social workers
• Music therapy to help children and young people cope with the pain and stress of treatment
• Diagnosis support packs
• Providing education grants to help children and young people catch up on missed studies
• Telephone and email counselling
• Telephone peer support groups
• Bereavement support
• Family days
