Originally launched as our Christmas appeal, the Paws and Claws fundraiser is continuing into the new year. We’re still working towards our goal of $60,000 to ensure we can continue giving animals the second chances they deserve.
At Save A Dog Scheme, we fight every day to give animals a second chance. Right now, we’re struggling to keep up with mounting costs and urgently need your help.
Since 1985, we’ve been a no-kill shelter, dedicated to saving lives. We take in animals that others often turn away, those that need extra care or are harder to rehome. Our incredible team of staff and volunteers works tirelessly to give every animal a chance at life.
For many of our animals, we’re their last hope. We take in dogs and cats, many of them terrified strays, that need time, patience, and love to rebuild trust. With your help, we can continue to give them the chance to find loving homes.
This life-saving work comes at a cost:
• Over $160,000 a year on vet care, including desexing, vaccinations, and emergency surgeries.
• Over $60,000 a year on food, in addition to donated supplies.
• Plus ongoing expenses like transport, cleaning supplies, and everything else required to run the shelter.
We’re incredibly grateful for the support we’ve received so far, and thanks to your generosity, we’ve raised nearly a third of our target. But there’s still a long way to go.
