Sanctuary Northern Rivers raises funds to assist refugees in their resettlement into the Australian community.

How will the funds be used?

These funds will be used to support refugees through both grants, and the Sanctuary Loan Fund.

We sponsor refugees in their attempt to secure Australian Special Humanitarian 202 or other Visas.

Sanctuary NR provides a No-Interest-Loan to those who are successful in obtaining their Visa and once settled here, the family gradually repays the loan over 2 to 3 years. It is then recycled to assist another family to resettle in Australia

Key Areas of Expenditure

  • Airfares and transfers to Australia via a No-Interest-Loan, to be recycled and used again
  • Transfers to airport in current country of refuge
  • Living expenses of family in their initial settlement into the Australian community.
