SCARD Inc represents the next evolution of the Skin Cancer Audit and Research Data (SCARD) Surgical Audit Project, which aims to modernise how healthcare professionals manage skin cancer and other malignancies in Australia. Established as a registered charity, SCARD is committed to improving skin cancer treatment through research, education, and data analysis.

Our Mission
SCARD is a free surgical log designed to facilitate the easy recording of treatment data for skin malignancies. This tool empowers healthcare professionals—such as doctors, nurses, dermatologists, and plastic surgeons—to track, audit, and improve their performance in skin cancer treatment. By providing practitioners with confidential reports and opportunities for peer comparison, SCARD enhances patient care and professional development.

History
SCARD was conceived in 2006 by Professor Clifford Rosendahl and Tobias Wilson. Since its inception, SCARD has grown into a global initiative, with over 1,700,000 cases and 550,000 patients recorded as of today. SCARD Inc was formally incorporated in 2023 with the goal of expanding data collection, education, and analysis capabilities, ensuring that healthcare professionals have the tools they need to deliver exceptional care.

Data-Driven Research
At the heart of SCARD is a data lake of over 1.8 million deidentified skin cancer specimen records. The data is collected and processed for ongoing research that enables practitioners to measure and compare their performance.
